SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Sustainable Development.

Elsewhere on this website the term sustainable development was defined as the process aimed at creating a society that is prosperous, socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable. The set of policies to set in motion and sustain that process was described as The Fourth Way.

This section of the website is dedicated mostly to a book that discusses how sustainable development can be achieved. It reviews the economic, social, ecological, and political problems our global society is facing, solutions to those problems, and a strategy to solve those problems through the implementation of a sustainable development programme. Published in 1998 the book is titled Global Development: Problems, Solutions and Strategy. A proposal for socially just, ecologically sustainable growth. Though 20 years old the book is as applicable today as it was at the time of publishing. An updated version is planned for 2018.
